Soon you will have a way to play one of the most beloved Nintendo 64 games on your Switch without having to jailbreak the console. During today’s Nintendo Direct, it was learned that Golden Eye 007 comes to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Also, you will be able to jump into the iconic multiplayer mode with your friends through online play. Nintendo didn’t say when the first-person shooter is coming to Switch, other than to say that it’s “coming soon.” In the meantime, you can watch a new documentary about the game.
Besides that, Golden Eye 007 comes to Xbox Game Pass. weird says the game has been “faithfully recreated for Xbox consoles”. It will feature local split-screen multiplayer (but i don’t play online), achievements, 4K resolution, and a seemingly smoother frame rate. To be fair, you’d be hard-pressed to have a lower frame rate than the N64 version.
Nintendo also revealed a bunch of other N64 titles that it will be gradually adding to the Expansion Pack service. Pilot Wings 64, Mario Party Y mario party 2 all will be available later this year. In 2023, Mario Party 3, Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Stadium 2, 1080 Snowboard Y exciting bike 64 will join the lineup.
