Last year, Netflix had the most Primetime Emmys with 10, but this year it was only third behind Apple TV+ and HBO Max. The latter dominated last night’s proceedings with 12 awards, including five for the white lotusfour for Succession (including Outstanding Drama Series) and one for each Euphoria, tricks Y last week tonight.

Apple TV+, meanwhile, took all four of its awards with ted lasso, including Best Comedy Series, Lead Actor, Comedy (Jason Sudeikis), Supporting Actor, Comedy (Brett Goldstein) and Directing, Comedy (MJ Delany). Last year Ribbon it took seven awards in prime time.

The most productive program on Netflix was the one from Korea squid game, which took home two Primetime Emmys while showcasing the power of the streamer as a global platform. Those include HBO Max Better call Saul Y barrythat have won Emmy Awards in the past, Apple TV+’s Breaking off and those of netflix Strange things Y Only murders in the building, which had 17 nominations but only won three non-prime time Emmy Awards. Like last year, streaming platforms dominated the Emmys over linear TV, with the major networks taking just three Primetime Emmys combined.
