If you weren’t able to join a mandatory Zoom meeting this morning, you weren’t alone. zoom is Recovery of a major outage that prevented users from starting or joining meetings. The company did not yet have an explanation for the problem, but said it had “identified” the cause and was continuing to investigate the fault. He also promised to monitor the situation.
The company first reported the outage at 11:17 a.m. ET, shortly after users began reporting that zoom.us was unavailable. He identified the problem around 11:30 am and said he fixed the problem several minutes later.
Zoom cuts are not unheard of. In particular, the service had a rough morning in August 2020 that left meetings unavailable for hours. However, this downtime has become more rare, and as a result, outages like these are even more painful. Look at it this way, though: This could be welcome if you’re tired of long video calls that could have been replaced by a simple email.
